Strategic Fixture Placement & Customization
Jax Outdoor Solutions recently completed a custom outdoor lighting installation designed to enhance both the beauty and functionality of a residential property from front yard to backyard. With more than 25 fixtures and multiple fixture styles incorporated throughout the landscape, this project highlights the company’s expertise in architectural and landscape lighting design.
Each outdoor lighting element was carefully staged and assembled on-site to ensure precise placement and performance. The design included uplighting for mature trees, accent lighting for the home’s façade, path lighting for safe navigation, and planter lighting to highlight focal plant material. Several fixtures required lens adjustments to refine beam spreads and achieve the desired lighting effect, allowing each feature to be illuminated with intention and balance.
The team also introduced new Lumian fixtures along the home, selected for their performance and clean architectural finish.
Specialty Palm & Planter Lighting
In the backyard, several custom techniques were used to showcase signature landscape elements. Stainless steel center-mounted stakes were installed within select palms to illuminate each canopy from the inside out, creating a dramatic and uniform glow across the foliage. Additional in-planter fixtures were positioned at the center of planting beds to softly highlight surrounding textures and forms.
These were paired with uplights in the landscape using two distinct color temperatures:
- 2700K lighting for trees and planting areas, providing a warm, natural glow
- 3000K lighting along the home, offering a slightly brighter, more neutral white tone for architectural clarity
This layered lighting approach created visual depth while maintaining a cohesive nighttime aesthetic.
Precision Installation & System Engineering
Before installation began, the team carefully mapped all fixture locations using ground flags to plan wire routing and spacing. Underground wiring was buried at a minimum depth of six inches, with close attention paid to voltage loads, run distances, and fixture distribution to ensure consistent performance across the entire system.
Throughout the process, existing site infrastructure was protected, including irrigation lines, communication cables, and utility connections. This attention to detail ensured a seamless installation without disrupting existing landscape or hardscape elements.

With the system complete, the property now benefits from enhanced curb appeal, improved nighttime safety, and a welcoming atmosphere for evening entertaining and relaxation.
